The day is divided into three pricing periods, each with a different electric rate:
-
Off-Peak Hours: Weekdays from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., plus all day on weekends and holidays.
These hours have the lowest electric rates, making them the best time to charge Electric Vehicles (EVs), run appliances, and use larger household equipment.
-
On-Peak Hours: Weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Rates during these periods are higher than standard residential rates due to increased electricity demand.
-
Super-Peak Hours: Weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
These hours carry the highest electric rates during the summer months (June through September), when electric grid demand is at its greatest. During non-summer months (January through May, October through December), super-peak pricing is the same as the on-peak rate.
