Rochester’s Annual Arbor Day Celebration Moves to New Location for 2026

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Rochester Public Utilities (RPU), in partnership with ArborWise, Davey Tree, Rochester Parks & Recreation, and Sargent’s Gardens, invites the community to attend the 24th Annual Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McQuillan Field Park (1655 Marian Rd SE).

This free, family-friendly event celebrates the importance of trees in our community with a variety of activities, including:

• Free trees for attendees, while supplies last
• Live music
• Free lunch (hot dogs, chips, corn on the cob, cookies, and soda), while supplies last
• Presentation of the 2026 Arbor Day Poster Contest winners
• A visit from Smokey Bear
• Family activities and games
• Giveaways and more!

Due to ongoing construction at Three Links–Silver Lake Park, this year’s celebration has been relocated to McQuillan Field Park. In the event of extreme weather, the event will move indoors to Rochester Community and Technical College’s Field House.
