Rochester Public Utilities Hosts Open House in Celebration of Drinking Water Week
Rochester, Minn. – In honor of Drinking Water Week (May 4–10), Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) is inviting the community to a special open house event at the Apache Mall water tower and wellhouse on Friday, May 8, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
This unique event offers a behind-the-scenes look at how RPU delivers clean, safe drinking water to more than 42,000 customers across Rochester. Guests will have the rare opportunity to step inside the Apache Mall spheroid water tower, which holds up to 500,000 gallons of water, and tour the wellhouse where the journey of water begins.
The open house is free and open to the public. RPU staff will be on hand to answer questions and explain how Rochester’s drinking water is sourced, treated, and distributed. The event is designed to be educational and engaging for all ages.
