Your waste water charge appears under the
"Water" section of your monthly RPU.
This is a charge from the City of Rochester
that appears on RPU bills as a cost-saving measure
for the City.
2007 Waste Water Charge
Customer Charge: monthly charge
that includes maintainence, equipment, and utility
administration
Rate / Unit: The charge per unit of
waste water. A unit is 100 cubic feet (or CCF),
or about 750 gallons. The waste water base (or
your "normal" usage) is determined
by your average water usage during the months
of January, February, and March*. You will be
charged this same "base" rate throughout
the year, regardless of summer watering, etc.
*For new construction: if no base is established
during January, February, and March, the base
of 6 units will be applied to your account for
the remainder of the year. |
