How to Pay Your Bill
RPU offers options for paying your monthly utility bill, including postal mail, online payment, Budget Billing plan, paperless bill (e-bill),automatic credit card or automatic bank payment, and pay by phone. Read on to learn more about each option and choose the one that's right for you.

RPU provides electric and water utilities to business and residential customers. In addition, RPU provides a service to the City of Rochester by billing for waste and storm water on behalf of the Public Works department.
Your monthly bill contains a lot of information, including your contract account number, electric and water usage for the month, average usage for the past year, and your payment amount due. Learn more about how to read your bill.
Automatic Bill Pay
Sign up for automatic bill pay and have your RPU bill automatically deducted from your checking, savings, or credit card each month. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover
Automatic bill pay is secure and convenient, and once enrolled in the service you will still receive your statement at its usual time each month either by mail or email– it's hassle free!
Budget Billing is a convenient service offered by RPU. When you provide RPU the pertinent information, we will estimate your upcoming monthly payments based on your past payment history. We will then calculate your average monthly payment over the next year so you will have a fixed monthly payment that you can count on and budget for. You will be credited or charged for any variances at the end of the year.
For added convenience, combine Budget Billing with Automatic Credit Card Payment or Automatic Bank Payment. This makes one less bill to remember to pay each month, and you won't have to worry about missing a payment if you are on vacation.

You have several choices if you would like to pay your utility bill in person. Two pay stations with cashiers are available to help you, face-to-face. Four drop boxes are provided around Rochester to save you a stamp.
