Education Opportunities
As your local "energy experts," we continue to offer learning opportunities for our customers that cover a wide range of topics. Topics include (depending on availability):
- Customer Meetings – An annual meeting is held for our large commercial and industrial customers. In this meeting, representatives from RPU, as well as Minnesota Energy Resources, present new energy efficiency programs, available rebates, and electric, water, and natural gas rate forecasts. A different keynote speaker is featured every year also. This is also an opportunity for open dialogue on energy issues affecting our customers and to get feedback on how we can improve our service.
- Trade Ally Meetings – An annual meeting is held for our trade allies. In this meeting, representatives from RPU, as well as Minnesota Energy Resources and Peoples Cooperative Services, present new energy efficiency programs, available rebates, and trade ally resources. A different keynote speaker is featured every year also. This is also an opportunity for open dialogue on energy issues affecting our trade allies and to get feedback on how we can improve our service.
- Seminars and Workshops – We hold a number of seminars and workshops to give our customers an opportunity to get more in-depth information on energy topics and, when available, to become certified in a specific energy practice.
- Facility Tours – Learn hands-on what it takes to provide water and/or electricity to the city of Rochester.
- MMUA Tom Bovitz Memorial Scholarship – Scholarship available to high school seniors planning to attend a post-secondary institution. Essays are due to RPU (attn: Tony Benson) by April 3, 2012.
