RPU To Create Task Force for Power Supply Study Phase II
Citizen-volunteers sought for input group

ROCHESTER, MN—The second phase of the power supply planning study is in full swing. As part of the study process, RPU plans to create a task force to gain valuable and useful public input. Volunteers are now being sought to fill up to 12 openings on the task force.

The purpose of the task force is to gather input from various citizen segments on the various demand- and supply-side options that will be considered as recommendations in the study by Burns & McDonnell, the St. Louis-based consultant retained to conduct the study.

To create a balanced input group, task force members will be selected from the following categories of interest: commercial, residential, environmental, and government/industry.

Task force meetings will occur from noon-1 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of July (July 27), and the second and fourth Tuesdays of August and September. Boxed lunches will be provided during meetings.

Task force members will be selected based on a brief application that can be obtained by calling 507-280-1500 or by clicking here (PDF download). Applications are accepted July 9 through 4 p.m. July 16. To qualify for consideration, an applicant must be a resident of the City of Rochester.
