Four local businesses show commitment to
energy efficiency through recent equipment upgrades
ROCHESTER, MN— Autumn Ridge Church, The Ranch
Restaurant, Andy’s Liquor, and dish it up!
are the most recent businesses to show their commitment
to energy efficiency by making recent equipment
upgrades in their facilities. In making these upgrades,
the businesses also received rebates through Rochester
Public Utilities’ (RPU) Conserve & Save
rebate program.
Conserve & Save promotes the installation of
energy efficient equipment by offering rebates to
residential and commercial customers. Qualifying
equipment includes: ENERGY STAR® appliances,
central air conditioners, geothermal and air source
heat pumps, lighting, motors and variable speed
drives, VendingMiser®, and Door Miser®.
A complete listing of qualifying equipment can be
found on the RPU web site at www.rpu.org.
The annual energy savings that these four businesses
will save is 120,000 KWh. By making these upgrades,
they will help to delay the need for additional
electric generation which also positively impacts
the local environment.
“Businesses are seeing the benefits of energy
efficient upgrades. Paying less in energy costs
each year is something every business can do by
working with us,” said Jan Blevins, RPU Sales
Specialist.
