ROCHESTER, Minn.— The Olmsted County Environmental Commission and RPU are partnering for the 2005 Environmental Achievement Awards. The goal of the awards is to promote and encourage innovative approaches to environmental and conservation challenges and to develop an environmental and conservation ethic within our community and county.

They are seeking nominations until October 27, 2005 of individuals, families, youth, organizations, or businesses that have made a significant contribution in 2005 towards environmental quality in any of the following categories: renewable efforts, conservation, energy, water, agriculture, education, and other.

Recipients will be honored at an awards banquet on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Rochester Golf & Country Club.
