Rochester Public Utilities, along with Austin Utilties and Owatonna Public Utilities will be hosting a Building Operator Certification (BOC) training for southeastern Minnesota. The BOC is a nationally recognized professional development training program designed to educate operations and maintenance staff in the energy-efficient operation of building systems.
The certification training covers seven courses of material over eight days full days of classroom training and hands -on project completion. Courses covered include:
- building systems
- energy conservation techniques
- HVAC systems and controls
- lighting
- environmental health and safety regulations
- indoor air quality
- facility electrical systems
