Water Facilities
To provide the citizens of Rochester with an abundant supply of high-quality water, RPU operates and maintains wells, storage facilities and water distribution mains. See just how many in the details below.
RPU, as a municipal utility, serves customers within the city limits of Rochester. The City's Water Quality Protection Program, started in 1998, allows us to serve some customers outside the city limits as their individual wells and septic systems are replaced by City water and sewer. In accepting City water and sewer service, the new customers agree to be annexed to the City within five years.
